Job Summary:
The surgical intensive care unit (ICU) nurse position is located in Saint Augustine, Florida. This role involves providing critical care to surgical patients within a 12-hour night shift schedule, with scheduled rotation and a minimum of 36 hours per week. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. Prior travel experience is necessary for this assignment.

  • Required Qualifications: Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; Education: healthcare professional license; Experience: at least 2 years of clinical experience with 2 prior travel assignments; Location: United States; No specific degree requirement.

  • Float: Float rotation may be required to units including ICU, Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit, and Medical-Surgical.
  • Clinical Details: Skills include ventilator management, vasopressor management, Impella, and intra-aortic balloon pump.
  • Equipment & Skills: Ventilators, vasopressor management, Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump.
  • Procedures & Protocols: Vasopressor management, perform EKGs, sheath removal.
  • Vaccination Policy: Seasonal Influenza vaccination required; medical exemptions permitted with inclusion of exemption form at submission.
  • Onboarding & Compliance: FL AHCA processing may take up to 14 business days. No RTO during the first 2 weeks; maximum of 8 days RTO for a 13-week assignment.
  • Additional Requirements: Prior travel experience required, minimum of 2 clinical assignments, and 2 years of specialized experience.
  • Respiratory & Anesthesia Services: Available 24/7.
  • Dress Code: Navy scrub top, closed-toe non-permeable shoes, groomed hair/beard, no jewelry or nail polish.
  • Additional Notes: Candidate must include exemption form if applicable; interview process includes unit manager interview.
