Job Summary
Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Specialty Nurse – Night Shift – begins on 10/05/2026 and ends on 01/02/2027. The role involves providing high-acuity patient care in a 24-bed ICU with clinical focuses on general surgery, trauma, transplant, and cardiothoracic surgery, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care. - Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: BLS/ACLS American Heart Association (AHA) certifications, ICU and TELE experience, proficiency in medications and dysrhythmias, Epic experience, valid nursing license, and able to work the specified schedule.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a surgical intensive care environment, trauma certification, or additional certifications relevant to critical care nursing.
- Additional Information: BILH coversheet required at time of submission. The surgical ICU is a high-acuity, 24-bed unit specializing in general surgery, trauma, transplant, and cardiothoracic surgery. As a level one trauma center, the unit works with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. The role involves caring for a wide variety of acutely ill patients who may require additional therapies. The candidate must be separated from the organization for at least 6 months to be considered (permanent, per diem, or contract roles). The day 1 pass/fail test will be administered.
