Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a facility located in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The candidate will be responsible for providing specialized patient care to critically ill patients, ensuring high-quality and safe clinical practices. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
  • Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Current New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) license or current Compact state license; graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA; current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Obtain and record initial assessments, establishing priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs.
    • Re-assess patients systematically to identify progress and trends requiring intervention.
    • Develop and implement measurable, individualized care plans within established timeframes.
    • Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on facts and patient outcomes; modify plans as needed.
    • Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
    • Conduct Point of Care testing procedures.
    • Communicate effectively with team members, delegating and coordinating patient care activities.
    • Promote a positive, professional environment and collaborate to achieve unit and organizational goals.
    • Demonstrate respect and consideration for patients, families, physicians, and staff.
    • Maintain compliance with all safety and institutional policies.
