Job Summary:
The organization is seeking qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) for an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) position located in Rome, Georgia. This role involves providing specialized critical care across various units including medical, surgical, neurological, and cardiac care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Location: Rome, Georgia
  • Shift: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM for medical-surgical and critical care units; ER shifts may vary)
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.0
  • Required Qualifications: Active nursing license (RN), ACLS certification, BLS certification, NIHSS certification, 2 years of experience in ICU or related specialty, proficiency in ICU skills such as arrhythmia monitoring, sedation, paralytic management, titratable drips, CVP monitoring, and care of postoperative craniotomy patients. Experience with TPA administration and CCRN & TNCC certifications are preferred.
  • Support within the Department: CNA/Nurse technician, respiratory therapist, phlebotomist, educator, staffing specialist, timekeeper/payroll specialist, safety sitter, virtual patient observers (VPO), virtual RN, security.
  • Technology/Equipment: EPIC electronic medical record system, ICU-specific equipment including glucommander, cardiac monitors, specialty beds, alarms, BiPap, ventilators, Alaris pumps, virtual RN, and virtual patient observer.
  • Floating: All medical-surgical and critical care areas, including emergency department boarders, may require floating.
  • Orientation: First week includes new employee orientation (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM); second week involves 2-3 days departmental onboarding on the floor.
  • Scheduling: Every other weekend rotation; participation in on-call may occur during low census periods; 70% of holidays are expected to be worked; 13-week schedule cycle.
  • Other Notes: Scrub color is navy; free parking is available; departmental culture emphasizes teamwork, prompt response to call lights and rover phones, and prioritization of telemetry monitoring.
