Job Summary:
This position is for a Critical Care Nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) at a healthcare facility in Nashville, Tennessee. The role involves providing high-acuity, rapid-response care to critically ill patients, including those undergoing cardiac surgery, cardiac transplant, and other severe cardiovascular conditions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Location: Nashville, Tennessee
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), successful completion of a proctored rhythm test
  • Schedule: Nights; 12 hours shift; minimum 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS Certification, ACLS Certification, NIHSS Certification, successful rhythm test completion, 0 years of experience preferred
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a cardiac ICU environment preferred
  • Unit Description:
    • Unit Capacity: 15 Beds
    • Population Served: Patients with diagnoses including Cardiac Surgery, Cardiac Transplant, Myocardial Infarction, Congestive Heart Failure, Cardiogenic Shock, Cardiomyopathy, Arrhythmias, Post Cardiopulmonary Arrest, Post Ventricular Assist Device Placement
    • Ages of Patients Served: Adolescent through Late Adult (14 - 60+)
    • Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:2
    • Core Staffing Plan: Typically 1 RN to 2 patients, with staff including Registered Nurses and Patient Care Technicians
  • Additional Information: The role involves caring for critically ill patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, including post-surgical and emergency situations, with a focus on rapid assessment and intervention.
