Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a registered nurse (RN) specialized in Neuro Critical Care for a position located in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role involves providing specialized care to patients in a neurology intensive care unit, specifically managing those with neurological conditions such as strokes, post-operative craniotomies, seizures, and encephalopathy. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Shift: Days, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
- Schedule: 36 hours per week minimum
- Required Qualifications: Valid State Licensure RN, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and 2 years of experience in ICU, specifically neuro ICU.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with a Pupillometer, EVD (Extracranial Ventricular Drain), ICP (Intracranial Pressure) waveform management, CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy), and Epic EMR training.
- Additional Information: Floating to other inpatient areas may be required when the home unit census is low. Orientation includes training modules, Epic orientation (if needed), and a day in the unit.
