Job Summary:
The Indianapolis, Indiana area is seeking an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Cardiovascular Nurse for a hospital setting. This role involves caring for cardiac patients within a specialized cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; experience with Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), and left ventricular assist devices (LVAD); ability to care for both cardiac medical and cardiothoracic/vascular surgery ICU patients; compassionate patient care skills
- Preferred Qualifications: NxStage experience
- Additional Information: This is a cardiac intensive care environment caring for both cardiac medical and surgical patients with device management including Impella, IABP, LVAD, and NxStage devices; patient ratios are 2:1; facility fixed notes should be reviewed for further clinical details
