Job Summary:
Critical Care Nursing in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting within an organization located in the region. This position involves rotating shifts, including days and nights every other weekend, with a focus on supporting patients with complex cardiac conditions. The role requires experience with cardiothoracic surgery and devices such as intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) and Impella, and requires floating between Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU).
Job Details:
- Shift Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts, with every other weekend, days and nights.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association (AHA). Must have at least 2+ years of experience in a similar setting, with specific experience in cardiothoracic surgery and devices like IABP and Impella. Candidates must be separated from the organization for 6+ months to be considered.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with devices such as IABP and Impella, and prior ICU experience with cardiothoracic patients.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 10/05/2026 and ending 01/02/2027.
- Additional Information: Will be expected to float between ICU and IMCU. Orientation occurs weekly. Any color scrubs are acceptable. Must work through winter holidays, including two holidays if working during holiday periods.
