Job Summary:
Neurosurgical and Neurological Intensive Care Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role involves providing specialized care in a Neuro Critical Care unit, with a focus on patients experiencing neurological conditions such as stroke, post-op craniotomy, seizures, encephalopathy, and neurologic tumors. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Indianapolis, IN
- Position: RN in Neurosurgical and Neurological Intensive Care
- Shift: Nights: 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m., Minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid state licensure as a registered nurse, ACLS certification, BLS certification, 2 years of experience in Neurosurgical and Neurological Intensive Care, comprehensive assessment skills, experience caring for hemodynamically unstable and mechanically ventilated patients, thorough neurological assessment skills.
- Preferred Qualifications: Pupillometer, external ventricular drain (EVD), intracranial pressure (ICP) waveform management, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), experience with Epic electronic medical record system.
- Additional Information: The role includes orientation modules, Epic training if needed, and one day of unit-specific orientation. Candidates must be team players with a positive attitude, flexibility, and empathy. Attire is scrubs in navy color; hoodies are not acceptable.
