Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse position is located in Bay City, Michigan. This role involves collaborating closely with physicians to develop and implement patient care plans aimed at restoring health. The nurse will provide bedside nursing care, execute medical orders, delegate tasks to support staff, and evaluate the effectiveness of care strategies. Candidates must bring their nursing license on the first day of employment and are expected to demonstrate leadership in patient care and team coordination.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Michigan state nursing license, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association, NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale); minimum of 0 years of experience is required, but candidates with 2+ years of ICU experience are preferred; comfortable with floating to Emergency Department (ED) and Step Down units; independently functioning in a fast-paced ICU setting
- Preferred Qualifications: Travel work experience; neuro surgical experience; open heart experience; documentation of TCAR, TNCC, CCRN, SCRN certifications is advantageous
- Additional Information: No on-call responsibilities; at least two staff members requested per shift; every other weekend coverage required
