Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse position is located in Athens, Texas. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This role involves providing specialized care to adult and geriatric patients in a 10-bed community hospital setting, with a daily census of approximately 8 patients. The position entails working nights for 12-hour shifts, requiring a minimum of 36 hours per week. The role emphasizes advanced patient management skills, including ventilator management, arterial line care, and IV sedation.
Job Details:
- Shift: 3x12 Nights (Nights)
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Valid State or Compact license must be in hand at the time of submittal. No Remote Time Off (RTO) listed; previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler.
- Preferred Qualifications: Community hospital experience preferred. Travel experience preferred. Previous charge nurse experience is also preferred.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, a minimum of 36 hours per week.

- Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.
- Skills required include managing ports, arterial lines, chest tubes, ventilators, IV sedation, and multiple other critical care procedures.
- Vaccinations: COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required.
