The organization is seeking an Infusion healthcare professional for a days-based outpatient clinic setting. The role supports chemotherapy patient care and includes procedures such as sterile access of Port-A-Cath, peripheral venous chemotherapy administration, and related lab collection and vital sign documentation. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days, M-F clinic (no weekends and no major holidays); 12 shift hours; minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- Chemo Certification by Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) provider
- Ability to access Port-A-Cath using sterile technique
- Ability to obtain peripheral venous chemotherapy administration
- Ability to administer intravenous hydration and electrolyte repletions
- Ability to obtain height, weight, and vital signs
- Ability to draw labs using a central venous catheter or peripherally
- License required; must be brought on the first day
- Additional Information:
- Patient experience with chemotherapy is needed
- Floating: Can float to TCT Infusion (716 department), with orientation in 716 prior to floating
- Documentation system: MediTech Expanse
- Dress code: solid colored scrubs in navy, lavender, pink, black, or teal
- No unit secretaries or tech availability
