Job Summary: RN Endoscopy Lab (Endoscopy) — Springfield, MO
Endoscopy registered nurses provide direct patient care activities for patients across all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort while functioning within established nursing practice guidelines. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 5x8, hours may vary during the time frame 07:30-16:00; minimum 40 hours per week; includes 2-3 late days per week based on recovery/procedure census.
- Required Qualifications: Current RN license meeting eligibility criteria for licensure in Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from American Heart Association (AHA) only; procedure room experience; charting; turning; conscious sedation experience; ability to start within 4 weeks of submission.
- Preferred Qualifications: Certified Gastroenterology Registered Nurse (CGRN) certification recommended within 2 years after hire date (not required).
- Responsibilities: Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation; monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort; functions within the scope of nursing practice consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice and applicable professional and ethical standards; performs related duties as assigned.
- Weekend/Call Requirements: As required by facility, up to 1 Saturday every 6-week schedule.
- Additional Information: Works in an endoscopy coverage model supporting outpatient endoscopy and hospital endoscopy locations on the same campus. May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, days of the week, call, or work frequency according to patient care requirements. Standing, walking, and sitting most of the time on duty; meet unit specific physical demands including lifting/pushing/moving heavy equipment and ability to work with fluoroscopy.
