Job Summary:
An Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) is needed to join the healthcare team at a facility located in Utica, New York. This role involves providing high-quality care in a busy Emergency Department with a focus on acute and critical patient management. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Utica, NY
  • Shift: Evenings, from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid New York State license, current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), current NURSYS license verification, at least 2 years of Emergency Department experience with some Pediatrics experience, EMR experience with EPIC, and documenting travel experience. Candidates must also present a Skills Checklist matching their specialty, valid driver’s licenses matching demographics, and RTO documentation at the time of submission.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Charge capability, floating requirement, and scrub color specified as navy blue.
  • Additional Information: The unit has 64 beds with various patient types including newborns, Pediatrics, adults, and Geriatrics. Common diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction (MI), cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. Specialty equipment includes Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun. The role involves administering specific drips and medications such as pressors (Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine), vasodilators (Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG), anti-arrhythmics (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lido), sedation agents (Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl), along with TNK, Heparin, and insulin.
