Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) — Tulare, California
The healthcare provider delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. The role supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines using critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) (preferred); Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice (required); Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification from an approved vendor per organization policy (required); American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC-BLS) (required); American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (AHA-ACLS) or American Red Cross Advanced Life Support (ARC-ALS) (required); American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA-PALS) or American Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support (ARC-PALS) (required); American Heart Association Neonatal Resuscitation Program (AHA-NRP) or American Red Cross Neonatal Life Support (ARC-NALS) (required)
- Preferred Qualifications: Acute care facility experience (preferred)
- Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation
- Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues
- Develops and implements a plan of care to achieve outcomes, coordinating care delivery and promoting a safe environment
- Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes and identifies outcomes for the patient or patient situation
- Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare team to provide safe, healing, humane, and caring support
- Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members
- Provides health information directly to patients, families, and the treatment team
- Participates in discharge planning to support continuity of care
- Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
