Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse position located in Plattsburgh, New York. This assignment is for 13-16 weeks, starting on 07/27/2026, with a scheduled shift of 12 hours during nights, requiring candidates to bring their license on the first day. Candidates must have a minimum of one year of specialty experience, current EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) experience from within the past two years, and appropriate certifications. Prior travel experience and charge nurse experience are preferred.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12H Nights, minimum of 36 hours per week, with a start date of 07/27/2026 and end date of 11/15/2026.
- Required Qualifications: NY licensed registered nurse or proof of application with applied date, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). Epic EMR experience from within the past 2 years is mandatory.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience, charge nurse experience.
- Additional Information:
- Assignment for 13-16 weeks with bi-weekly orientation on Monday.
- RTO requests for 08/21-08/24 and 09/17-09/20 are in place; all employment gaps over 90 days must be explained.
- Reliable transportation is strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible.
- The hospital requires every other weekend work or schedule adjustments to meet patient care needs.
- This facility has no block schedules and holiday requirements apply.
