Job Summary:
The Emergency Room (ER) Patient Placement Coordinator position is located in Phoenix, Arizona. This role involves coordinating patient bed placements within an acute care facility, utilizing critical thinking skills, customer service excellence, and computer proficiency. Candidates must bring their license on the first day and have recent acute care experience. The position requires working 12-hour shifts three days per week, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12 hours, 3 days a week, with shifts scheduled from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, including potential weekend and holiday shifts.
- Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS Certification, recent acute care experience (preferred 2 years, with restrictions on SNF experience), experience with TeleTracking and Cerner EMR systems, strong computer skills including Google applications and Zoom, excellent multitasking and customer service skills, knowledge of department/unit differences (e.g., MedSurg vs Tele).
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with the specified EMR systems and in fast-paced ER environments.
- Float: Not applicable.
- Additional Information: Limited to no RTO requests; shifts may be canceled up to 4 times per 13-week assignment. Must be able to work holidays if needed; PTO for holidays is not permitted.
