Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) – Lewiston, ME. The role provides nursing care in a non-trauma Emergency Department within a 24/7 emergency care setting. Responsibilities include triage and managing patients with a wide range of medical needs, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and care for ventilated patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Evenings shift; 12 hours per shift; minimum 36.0 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Current RN licensure; ACLS; Basic Life Support (BLS)/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (BCLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) (required).
- Preferred Qualifications: Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) (preferred).
- Responsibilities:
- Perform triage in the Emergency Department.
- Interpret dysrhythmias and manage dysrhythmias.
- Provide care for ventilated patients.
- Deliver care for a patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.
- Support service lines including chest pain and primary stroke care.
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
