Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Farmington, New Mexico. This role involves providing patient care in a busy emergency department within a level III trauma center. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day. The position offers an opportunity to work in a facility recognized for its comprehensive services and beautiful surroundings.

Job Details:

  • Location: Farmington, New Mexico
  • Shift: Mids (includes a combination of all three shifts: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM, 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM)
  • Schedule: 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: RN (Registered Nurse) with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), valid RN license, certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). Minimum zero years of experience required, but two years in an emergency department preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Two or more years of emergency department experience, trauma, stroke, ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), sepsis, and moderate sedation experience preferred.
  • Unit Information: Emergency Department with 48 beds and flex space, utilizing team nursing and pod systems. Patient ratios are 4:1 in the main emergency department and 6:1 in fast track.
  • Equipment and EMR: Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and Istat point-of-care testing devices, ultrasound-guided IV, Cerner electronic health record system.
  • Additional Information: Social worker assigned to the department and a unit educator. Candidate must pass area-specific competency exam, skills checklist, and screening questions.
