Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Alaska registered nursing license in hand; at least 2 years of case management experience; acute care hospital experience; experience using Epic; demonstrated knowledge of care coordination, discharge planning, admission criteria, continued-stay reviews, prior authorizations, and evidence-based medical necessity guidelines.
- Preferred Qualifications: Accreditation certification in case management; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; community hospital or long-term acute care experience; Level II trauma experience; Microsoft Office and Teams proficiency.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday business hours, four 10-hour shifts per week, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend or four weekend days within a four-week schedule.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include discharge planning, care coordination, needs assessments, durable medical equipment coordination, pre-certification reviews, continued-stay reviews, prior authorizations, utilization of InterQual criteria and Milliman guidelines, and collaboration with interdisciplinary support services. The role may support neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatric patients.
