Job Summary:
The location is in Springfield, Illinois. The position is for a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurse (Cath Lab RN) at an acute care hospital. This role involves providing specialized nursing care within the cardiac catheterization lab, performing diagnostic and interventional procedures, and monitoring patients throughout procedures. Candidates must bring their Illinois nursing license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

  • Shift: 3x12-hour days (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) with minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Illinois license in hand, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, minimum 1 year of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, Cerner charting system experience, and completion of required vaccinations including the flu vaccine.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with diagnostic and interventional adult cardiac catheterizations, pulmonary artery line monitoring, right and left heart catheterizations, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and Cerner experience specific to the position.
  • On-Call: Yes, required as needed.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities.
  • Special Requirements: Experience with interventional and diagnostic cardiac procedures, procedural sedation, and management of dysrhythmias are essential.
  • Start Date: 07/20/2026.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must have at least 18 months of experience in the unit unless otherwise specified. All required documentation, including background checks, Docusign agreements, badge photos, lab appointments, and clinical modules, must be completed within one week of signing the contract. Candidates should review and confirm RTO and start date accuracy upon submission.
