Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in a Cardiovascular Laboratory or Critical Care area to join the team in Passaic, New Jersey. This role involves providing direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations within a Cardiovascular Lab setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire and to be maintained current.
- Education: Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.
- License: Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required.
- Experience: One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required.
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with physicians continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with equipment and inventory maintenance. Assesses procedure room or equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains supplies for cases and ensures all needs of the Cardiovascular Laboratory team are met. Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Monitors and records patient condition continuously while in the Cardiovascular lab. Participates in performance improvement and quality improvement activities.
