Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) for a position located in Little Rock, Arkansas. - Required Qualifications: One year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, Arkansas license or compact license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications, and successful interview process.
- Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday to Friday, from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm.
- Call Expectations: Call includes 24-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday, typically one weekend per month. Call shifts include one Friday to Sunday and four weeknights per month, with weekday call hours from 5 pm to 6:30 am and weekend call from 5 pm Friday to 6:30 am Monday.
- Case Types: Includes Electrophysiology (EP) procedures such as ablations, EP studies, device implants (pacemakers, ICDs), lead extractions, and cardioversions; Cardiac Catheterizations (left and right heart), transvenous pacing, Impella insertions/removals, peripheral interventions; Structural procedures such as Watchman device placements, valve procedures, patent foramen ovale (PFO) closures, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
- Case Load: Operations involve three rooms running concurrently, with 5-6 procedures in cath rooms and 2-5 in electrophysiology rooms daily. Procedure volume varies based on multiple factors, including physician availability and patient cancellations.
- Additional Information: Call scheduling is flexible and depends on staffing. The goal is to limit call shifts to a total of seven days per month.
