Job Summary:
A registered nurse with experience in cardiovascular care is sought for a position in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory located in Bakersfield, California. The role involves providing specialized nursing care to acutely ill patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Bakersfield, California
- Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid and unrestricted State of California Registered Nurse License (RN License); Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program with a bachelor's or associate degree preferred; 3 years of experience in related field.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in interventional radiology nursing, medical terminology, instruments and equipment, medicines and narcotics, assessment, planning, implementation, data collection, documentation, risk factor identification, collaboration, prioritization, nursing diagnoses, care plan formulation, emergency protocol activation, critical thinking, nursing judgment, team dynamics, therapeutic standards, evidence-based practices, infection control.
- Additional Information: Knowledge of advanced theory, techniques and practices of nursing; must possess and maintain current certifications; adherence to hospital policies and medical regulations; ability to manage rapid patient status changes and activate emergency protocols effectively.
