Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a registered nurse specializing in Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) for a contract position at a medical center in Austin, Texas. This role involves working in a cell therapy transplant unit responsible for chemotherapy/biotherapy treatment and blood product administration. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Austin, Texas
- Position: Registered Nurse - Bone Marrow Transplant Unit (BMT)
- Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 12 hours
- Schedule: Minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, oncology experience, chemotherapy certification through the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) in chemotherapy immunotherapy (15.25 contact hours), BMT experience, TCT experience, and EMR proficiency with Meditech.
- Preferred Qualifications: CAR-T therapy experience.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: No artificial or gel nails; masks are required in patient care areas. The unit performs chemotherapy, biotherapy, blood product administration, and frequent lab draws, including cell transplants. Candidates should be detail-oriented, team players, and comfortable working with new equipment and technology.
