Clinical Nurse, Apheresis — Location not provided. Provides competent clinical nursing care for adult and pediatric patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 8-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: One year of nursing experience; nursing diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Associate of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing; authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
- Additional Information:
- Provides care for both adult and pediatric patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Accesses implanted ports for the majority of patients and performs some peripheral access.
- Demonstrates competency in clinical nursing care, patient assessment, patient education, point-of-care testing, care prioritization, discharge planning, and planning of patient care.
- Collaborates with patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to promote continuity and quality of care.
- Applies nursing standards, policies, and procedures while maintaining a safe, clean, and secure care environment.
- Participates in performance improvement activities, professional development, clinical research, and unit goal achievement.
