Job Summary: Wichita, Kansas — Radiation Therapist (RTT)
The radiation therapist administers radiation therapy by exposing specific areas of a patient’s body to prescribed doses of radiation. This role prepares and positions patients, delivers treatments in collaboration with the physician and dosimetrist, and maintains detailed records of therapy sessions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift; 8 hours per shift; minimum 40 hours per week.
- Responsibilities:
- Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic parameters accurately.
- Delivers the appropriate patient treatment plan in collaboration with the physician and dosimetrist.
- Maintains detailed records of all therapy sessions.
- Maintains and adjusts necessary equipment, including a linear accelerator.
- Selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
- Ensures all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
- Ensures prompt submission of high-quality images and documentation to PACS (correct image quality, lead markers, and patient data/history).
- Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage areas, and other areas in the department.
- Additional Information: The position focuses on outpatient cancer rehabilitation and radiation therapy, including a CyberKnife radiosurgery system.
