Job Summary:
Radiation Therapist in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This full-time position involves providing radiation therapy services to patients as prescribed, following established practices and standards. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment. Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) card, New Mexico Licensure upon hire, graduate of an accredited radiology program through the Committee on Allied Health Education or equivalent, and two to five years of clinical experience preferred. IMRT experience and LDR/HDR experience are preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and low dose rate/high dose rate (LDR/HDR) treatments.
- Responsibilities: Deliver prescribed radiation therapy with minimal supervision; prepare treatment rooms and equipment according to physician prescriptions; ensure proper patient positioning and safety measures; monitor patient reactions; maintain accurate treatment records; assist in tumor localization and dosimetry procedures; participate in quality assurance activities; and ensure proper documentation in patient charts.
- Additional Information: The role is a backfill position for a contractor through EPIC Staffing that is not extending.
