Job Summary:
The Radiation Therapist position in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, involves administering radiation treatments, simulations, dosimetry functions, and fabricating blocks in preparation for treatment. The role requires initiative, independent judgment, and adherence to departmental and hospital policies. Candidates are expected to perform radiation therapy treatments in scheduled or emergent environments under supervision, with a requirement to bring their Massachusetts Radiology license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts
- Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current Massachusetts Radiology license, ARRT(Radiation Therapy certification), BLS certification, at least 2 years of Radiation Therapy experience, proficiency with Varian Trilogy and Truebeam, Elekta Axesse, Infinity, SL-series, Sensus – SRT, Philips TomoTherapy, Vision and Philips Big Bore CT simulators, and knowledge of IGRT systems, MOSAIQ, and Aria. Candidates must have their license in hand before starting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with MRI, Calypso RFID tracking, Deep Inspiration Breath Hold treatments, and CT simulation/planning.
- Additional Information: Traveler must have their own vehicle; all scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission; holiday and on-call requirements if needed; no more than 5 days of requested time off; candidates must verify availability; attendance at all mandatory education is required.
