Job Summary:
Radiation Therapist in Detroit, Michigan. This role involves operating treatment machines such as linear accelerators and high dose rate (HDR) systems to administer ionizing radiation treatments as prescribed by physicians. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers a dedicated schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Job Details:
- Certifications/Education Required: A.R.R.T. Radiation Therapy Technology Certification or registry eligible; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Varian and Aria, working on True Beams, and operating in a clinic setting with a small team.
- Additional Information: The role involves patient positioning, marking localization, immobilization device use, radiation administration, treatment documentation, and teaching radiation therapy students as needed.
- The therapist will work on treatment machines including True Beams, collaborating with 1 or 2 other team members. No on-call duties or weekend work are required.
