Job Summary:
Radiation Therapist in Cheyenne, Wyoming — This position involves providing radiation therapy treatments within a dedicated radiology department. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role offers a full-time schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with an average of 25-30 scans or studies per day.
Job Details:
- Location: Cheyenne, Wyoming
- Schedule: 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with a start time of 7:00 AM and a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Wyoming State License and national license; Degree in Radiation Oncology-Radiation Therapy; BLS certification; minimum 1 year of experience; experience with True and Vital Beam machines; proficiency with Mosaiq charting system
- Preferred Qualifications: Mosaic experience highly recommended
- Additional Information:
- Department has 2 imaging rooms equipped with Vital Beam and True Beam
- No floating or coverage in other areas required
- No use of Registered Radiology Assistants
- In-house Radiation Medical Doctor available
- Nurses will start IVs, not the radiation therapist
- No weekend, holiday, call, or standby duties
- Scrubs are not provided, but black scrubs and white shirts are typical if worn
- Department-specific orientation lasts 1 week, including imaging and physician requirements review
- No trauma level or specific care setting beyond acute division
- Cancellation policy allows for 2 cancellations per 13-week assignment
