Job Summary:
The position is for a Senior Medical Physicist located in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The role involves providing expert radiation physics services within a healthcare facility, including evaluation, planning, and implementation of advanced radiation therapy techniques. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of work.
Job Details:
- Location: La Crosse, WI
- Shift: 8-hour shifts with variable start and end times between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM, rotating schedule
- Qualifications: Master's Degree (required), Doctorate or PhD (preferred); American Board of Radiology (ABR) certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics or American Board of Medical Physics equivalent in Radiation Therapy Physics; minimum of 5+ years of experience in the specialty; experience with Aria, Eclipse, and Truebeam systems; current license in Wisconsin (or ability to receive license prior to start date).
- Certifications: ABR certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics or equivalent; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Experience: 5+ years in a radiation physics specialty; previous travel experience strongly preferred.
- Technology Skills: Experience with Aria, Eclipse, Truebeam, and Epic electronic medical record system preferred.
- Additional Responsibilities: Collaborates with senior staff on quality assurance programs, evaluates new technology, maintains templates and therapy equipment, and provides radiation safety education.
- Schedule: 8 hours per day, with a guaranteed 40 hours per week for 20 weeks starting around 07/20/2026.
- Additional Information: No holiday or weekend rotation requirements unless discussed with the manager. No call required.
- Submission Requirements: Candidate profile must include 2 current professional references. Candidate must start the medical portion of compliance within 48 hours of accepted offer, or 24 hours for a quick start.
