Job Summary: Physical Therapist Assistant (Physical Therapist SNF) — Potosi, Missouri
The organization is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders in a skilled nursing facility setting. Under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist, the role includes implementing treatment plans, assessing patient progress, documenting care, and communicating effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week; no weekends unless a holiday falls within Monday–Friday, in which case hours may be made up on the weekend.
  • Required Qualifications: Active State Licensure for Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) where applicable; PTA license (Missouri); 1 year of PTA experience; long-term care (LTC) or rehab experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: No preferred qualifications were provided.
  • Additional Information: Utilizes evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions; administers rehabilitation procedures as part of the treatment plan (including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and supportive/assistive devices); assesses patient progress and communicates with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments; reports treatment outcomes; provides consultation and counseling to patients and families/caregivers; participates in required meetings and trainings (including patient care conferences and utilization/rehabilitation meetings); supports and supervises students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist; adheres to APTA and State practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice; documents all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system and maintains patient records, including accurate recording of treatment minutes.
