Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school; CPR Certification; 6 months of outpatient clinical experience; 0 years of experience minimum; Location in Oak Park; Shift time: 8 hours; Schedule: Days, 40 hours per week.
- Implement and assist in carrying out treatment plans focused on improving patient outcomes such as posture training, strength building, balance exercises, functional skills, and community re-entry.
- Train patients in locomotion with orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices, demonstrating proper guarding and safety techniques.
- Demonstrate and utilize modalities including whirlpools, ultrasound, therapeutic pools, and other therapeutic equipment, monitoring patient responses and adjusting treatments accordingly.
- Document patient progress, responses to treatments, and educate patients and families on proper body mechanics.
- Maintain professional and ethical standards, adhere to safety and infection control guidelines, and participate in team conferences and quality improvement projects.
- Ensure a clean and safe treatment environment and utilize appropriate safety precautions, including hand-washing and the use of personal protective equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
