Job Summary:
A Physical Therapist specializing in outpatient rehabilitation is needed in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The position involves assessing and treating patients with neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory conditions through mechanical and physical means to maintain or restore function. The role requires developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Candidates must bring their physical therapy license on the first day of work.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 10:30 AM - 6:00 PM, 8 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure; BLS certification from AHA; education requirement of Doctorate, Masters, Bachelors, or Associates Degree in Physical Therapy; no minimum years of experience required
- Responsibilities: Includes verifying physician orders, conducting evaluations, establishing goals and treatment plans, administering therapy modalities such as therapeutic exercises, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and soft tissue mobilization, and supervising therapy assistants. Maintains documentation of treatments, progresses patient care, and communicates with physicians regarding patient progress. Also involves developing home programs, training caregivers, and participating in quality assurance activities.
- Additional Information: Blocked scheduling not accommodated; no weekend or on-call requirements; dress code consists of khaki pants and a white polo; full-time position starting as soon as possible to backfill a previous staff member.
