Physical Therapist Outpatient (PT OP) — The organization is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join the inpatient team on a day shift schedule. Job Details
- Position requires a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy (or equivalent qualifying degree), licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, and experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Requirements include a minimum of 0 years of experience; preferred candidates have 3+ years of outpatient orthopedic experience and knowledge of orthopedic surgeries and post-operative rehabilitation protocols.
- Responsibilities include performing initial and re-evaluations within the first 60 minutes, developing individualized plans of care with patient input, utilizing appropriate evaluation techniques, and providing treatment aligned with clinical procedures and equipment.
- The role involves collaborative patient education, documentation, hospital environment management, scheduling, billing responsibilities, and adherence to ethical practices.
- Certification and continuing education requirements include maintaining licensure, meeting CEU standards, and staying current with industry issues such as AIDS education and medical errors.
