Job Summary
Physical Therapist Outpatient in a clinical outpatient setting, responsible for evaluating all assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician directives. The role involves delegation and supervision of therapy services, designing functional treatment programs to facilitate effective patient return to community activities, and serving as an educator for patients, families, and colleagues. The position emphasizes compliance with organizational safety and professional standards.
Job Details
Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Degree in Physical Therapy from an Accredited School; 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience; CPR Certification; successful maintenance of an active/applicable license for the state where work will be performed; prior completion of an assignment with the organization or its affiliates is highly desired.
Completes comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients. Utilizes clinical reasoning to develop and adjust treatment plans aimed at progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay.
Completes medical record documentation in a clear, accurate, and timely manner, including goal setting, functional assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entries in compliance with regulatory guidelines and organizational policies.
Ensures that care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approval requirements.
Participates in student programs, providing a positive learning environment and supervising learning objectives and evaluations.
Develops a personal professional development plan, pursuing continuing education and professional organizational involvement.
Adheres to state Practice Acts and regulatory agency standards, maintaining licensure in good standing and completing all mandated continuing education.
Demonstrates awareness of organizational performance improvement methodologies and actively participates in quality enhancement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with previous assignments in outpatient physical therapy.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
