Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Outpatient (Mattoon, Illinois) — This outpatient rehabilitation role involves developing and implementing patient-centered treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, and overall physical function. The successful candidate will utilize a range of therapeutic techniques, including therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and physical modalities, to support patient recovery. Candidates are required to bring their physical therapist license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 8 hours shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active Illinois (IL) Physical Therapist License; at least 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience; current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; candidates must have a minimum of 0 years of experience, with 1+ preferred; work history and skills checklist current to 1 year, pertinent to physical therapy; submission of 2 supervisory reference forms with employment dates.
- Additional Information: Develops patient treatment plans based on initial and ongoing evaluations, collaborating with team members and involving patients and caregivers. Documents patient progress according to medical and facility documentation procedures. Performs physical therapy assessments following American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) standards and state regulations. Supervises physical therapy assistants as indicated. Ensures compliance with third-party payers’ certifications and authorizations. Maintains professional development through educational activities.
