Job Summary
Outpatient Physical Therapist—located in a clinical setting—provides patient evaluations, develops and implements treatment plans, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to promote functional recovery. Responsible for guiding patients through therapeutic activities aimed at improving mobility and independence, while also serving as an educator for patients, families, and staff. The role emphasizes safety, professionalism, and compliance with organization standards to ensure high-quality patient care.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school; 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience; CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with diverse patient populations; strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Continue professional development through ongoing education and participation in professional organizations
- Ensure all care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance and regulatory guidelines
- Engage in student supervision and create a positive learning environment for interns and students
- Maintain current licensure and complete all mandated continuing education requirements
- Demonstrate knowledge of organizational performance improvement initiatives and contribute to quality enhancement efforts
- Promote safety in all aspects of patient care, including safe patient handling, infectious disease protocols, and slip/trip prevention
