Job Summary
Physical Therapist Outpatient (PT OP) — Location: Not Specified. This outpatient therapy role involves evaluating and developing treatment plans for patients, providing comprehensive care, and promoting functional recovery. Job Details

  • Certifications, Education, Degree, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Degree in Physical Therapy from an Accredited School; 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience; CPR Certification; active/applicable license for the state where work will be performed; 1 year of experience preferred; 6-month duration desired.
  • Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Completes comprehensive patient evaluations, developing and modifying treatment plans aimed at discharge.
  • Documents medical records clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner in accordance with legal and organizational policies.
  • Provides care under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approval as necessary.
  • Participates in student programs, fostering a positive learning environment, and providing appropriate supervision.
  • Engages in ongoing professional development through continuing education and organizational activities.
  • Adheres to state Practice Act and regulatory standards, maintains licensure in good standing, and completes mandated continuing education.
  • Demonstrates awareness of quality improvement initiatives and offers feedback to enhance service delivery.
  • Behavior Characteristics: Strong clinical reasoning, ethical conduct aligned with professional codes, commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous professional growth.
