Job Summary: Physical Therapist (PT) — Inpatient | Wichita, Kansas
A travel Physical Therapist is needed for an inpatient physical rehabilitation setting in Wichita, Kansas. This role provides evaluation and treatment, including gait training, neuromuscular reeducation, and caregiver training. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day Shift (7A - 3:30P), 8 hours, minimum 40 hours per week; every other weekend is required.
- Required Qualifications: Physical Therapy licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; minimum 6 months current acute care Physical Therapist experience; experience in acute inpatient rehabilitation setting; knowledge of ESTIM, patient lifts, transfer equipment, gym equipment, and vital machines.
- Preferred Qualifications: Neuro certification or experience.
- Responsibilities:
- Perform patient evaluation and treatment
- Provide daily treatment including gait training and neuromuscular reeducation
- Conduct caregiver training
- Track treatment time/charges to support required inpatient rehab therapy time per patient
- Use established unit guidelines and policies to support patient care
- Additional Information:
- The inpatient rehab program has a 3-hour therapy requirement in inpatient rehabilitation, and the clinician is responsible for tracking time/charges to ensure patients receive the required time.
