Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT IP) — Springfield, MO. This outpatient physical therapy position involves evaluating and developing treatment plans for patients, primarily those who have undergone total joint replacements. The role supports patient recovery through therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a physician and a healthcare team.
Job Details
- Position Description: Under physician orders, plans and implements physical therapy evaluation and treatment programs based on patients’ physical, developmental, and psychosocial needs. Provides advisory services to team members to ensure quality patient care and functions under the supervision of the Director and Assistant Director.
- Required Qualifications: Current Physical Therapy (PT) License (meets Missouri licensure requirements or is currently licensed in Missouri), BLS from American Heart Association, 1 year of PT experience.
- Schedule: Evenings, 4x10 hours (10:30 am – 9:00 pm), Monday through Thursday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Performs comprehensive evaluations including diagnoses, history, subjective findings, motor and sensory functions, functional mobility, gait, endurance, and plan formulation. Implements therapeutic interventions such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, manual therapy, gait training, wound care, orthotic management, and more. Provides discharge planning and patient education, and documents all activities thoroughly and promptly. Supports departmental productivity standards and adheres to safety and quality goals. Demonstrates a commitment to professional development and process improvement, providing supervision to students during rotations.
