Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT IP) position available in an acute care setting. This role involves providing high-quality physical therapy services to inpatient populations, including patient assessment, treatment plan development, and discharge planning. The position requires active collaboration with clinical teams and supervision of therapy students and assistants.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or entry-level Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited college or university. Must hold a valid Physical Therapist license issued by the Texas Executive Council of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners. BLS certification via AHA is required. No prior experience required.
- Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to determine patients' physical and cognitive abilities; develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals; maintain documentation per department policies; participate in patient care and family conferences; oversee and coordinate student and volunteer programs; assist with clinical orientation and departmental operations; coordinate discharges, and foster collaboration with medical staff and community agencies.
