Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Physical Therapy (PT); licensure by the PT Board of the State of California; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; CA Physical Therapist License; 0 years of experience required.
- Schedule: Rotating shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week.
- Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and adherence to hospital licensing, accreditation standards, and the Physical Therapy Practice Act.
- Performs evaluation and treatment plan implementation based on age-specific, cultural, and rehabilitative needs.
- Provides effective therapy treatments, including modalities and protocols appropriate to patient care needs.
- Ensures thorough, timely, professional, and consistent patient care documentation through healthcare electronic documentation systems.
- Utilizes all resources to assist with patient flow, including printing forms and scheduling patients.
- Provides education and mentoring for student interns, participates in departmental programs, and facilitates interdisciplinary communication to enhance patient outcomes.
- Maintains equipment supplies and treatment areas.
- Administers patient treatments as prescribed and directs support staff accordingly.
- Provides safe and comprehensive discharge planning.
- Demonstrates competency in utilizing all reports to manage caseload proactively.
