Job Summary:
The location is in Kimball, Nebraska. This is a Physical Therapist (Inpatient) position in an acute care setting. The role involves working with patients of all ages to restore movement, reduce pain, and improve overall function following injury or illness. Candidates are required to bring their Nebraska Physical Therapist license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program; Current Nebraska Physical Therapist license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Minimum of 2 years of experience required; Ongoing continuing education as required.
- Schedule: Day shifts, with most common shifts being 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, working Monday through Friday with the possibility of 4 completed 10-hour shifts. Minimum hours per week are 40.
- Additional Information: This role involves evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, providing hands-on therapy, educating patients and families, monitoring progress, and documenting care. Supervision of Physical Therapist Assistants and support of clinical students are also part of the responsibilities. Therapists should be comfortable with assisting patients with mobility and working in an environment with potential exposure to communicable conditions while following all safety protocols.
