Job Summary
Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT IP) — located in the healthcare provider setting, this position involves evaluating patients, developing and modifying treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate effective patient recovery. The role emphasizes patient education, safety, and ensuring a high standard of care during a 13-week travel assignment starting the week of October 26, with flexible scheduling from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: BLS Certification required prior to first shift; valid, current State license; minimum of 2 years of experience; LTACH experience highly desired; shift hours of 8 per day; minimum of 40 hours per week; start date 09/21/2026; end date 12/21/2026.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with weekend rotations if needed.
- Completes comprehensive patient evaluations, using clinical reasoning to develop and adjust treatment plans focused on patient discharge goals within an established length of stay.
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to address discharge barriers, including equipment trialing, family training, and planning for continuing services.
- Manages individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions efficiently and effectively based on patient needs.
- Documents medical records accurately and timely, including daily notes, goal writing, and discharge summaries, in compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
- Participates in student and professional development programs, providing supervision where appropriate and pursuing ongoing education.
- Maintains professional licensure and adheres to regulatory standards and ethical practices.
- Demonstrates commitment to patient and team safety, complying with organizational safety policies.
- Supports organizational performance improvement initiatives by providing feedback and participating in related activities.
