Job Summary
Inpatient Physical Therapist – PT IP – Location: Not Specified. This role involves evaluating patients, developing and adjusting treatment plans, and delivering high-quality physical therapy services within an inpatient setting. The position emphasizes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery and discharge planning.
Job Details
- Certifications and Education Requirements: Must hold a valid, current State license; BLS certification required prior to first shift; minimum of 2 years of experience; inpatient rehab experience highly desired.
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours daily, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Position Description: Evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction. Responsible for delegation and supervision of discipline-specific therapy services. Ensures functional treatment programs are designed to facilitate effective return to community activities. Serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers. Performs professional duties aligned with the organization’s mission and core values, emphasizing safety, quality care, and compliance. Participates in student programs and professional development, adheres to state practice acts, maintains licensure, and contributes to performance improvement initiatives.
- Additional Information: Completes comprehensive evaluations, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, manages multiple treatment sessions efficiently, documents accurately and timely, and ensures care complies with physician orders and insurance approvals. Participates in advocacy and community activities, maintains licensure, and follows organizational policies and procedures.
