Job Summary:
Inpatient Pharmacy Technician position available in a healthcare facility’s pharmacy department. The role involves working with complex patient cases, including trauma, burn, critical care, pediatrics, and cardiac surgery. The technician will be responsible for medication verification, IV compounding, and operating with advanced equipment in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week, from 09/21/2026 to 03/08/2027
- Required Qualifications: Virginia State Pharmacist license, hospital experience of at least 2 years, experience with complex medication dosing including Vancomycin AUC, aminoglycoside, renal, warfarin, enoxaparin, electrolyte protocols, heparin, DOAC, proficiency with Meditech Expanse, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, Pyxis, C2 safe, IV verification, medication verification, and IV compounding
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Vancomycin AUC dosing, Aminoglycoside dosing, renal dosing, warfarin, enoxaparin, electrolyte protocols, heparin, DOACs, and familiarity with hospital-specific policies and guidelines
- Additional Information: The unit features advanced equipment including Meditech Expanse Electronic Medical Records, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, Pyxis, and C2 safe.
