Job Summary:
Pharmacist Inpatient position located in Springfield, Missouri. This role involves overseeing central pharmacy operations, verifying medications, and coordinating workflow within the hospital's pharmacy department. The position is a weekend day shift, requiring collaboration with a team of pharmacists and technicians to ensure accurate medication management and safety.
Job Details:
- Shift: Weekend Days, 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM, Friday through Sunday, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Missouri Pharmacist Licensure, BLS certification from AHA, 1 year of experience (new graduates considered), location in Missouri, and no minimum years of experience required beyond that.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC dispense prep, product verification, medication workflows, and pharmacy operations.
- Additional Information: Use EPIC dispense prep to verify and check medications, kits, crash carts, prepack items, and other duties as needed. The role includes overseeing workflow of pharmacy technicians, supervising their activities, and maintaining medication safety standards. Training duration is approximately 2-3 weeks depending on capability. The position is open due to FMLA coverage and is very likely to extend beyond 13 weeks for high-performing candidates.
