Job Summary:
The position of Pharmacist Inpatient is based in Sitka, Alaska. This role involves ensuring safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy management within the pharmacy department. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The shift is scheduled for days, with a total of 10 hours per day and a minimum of 40 hours per week.

  • Required Qualifications: Pharm.D. degree and licensure as a registered pharmacist in the State of Alaska; candidates licensed prior to 2003 with a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree will be considered with 3 years of hospital and/or ambulatory clinic pharmacy experience; Unrestricted license as a registered pharmacist in Alaska; Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers; Completion of a nationally recognized pharmacy residency program is preferred.
  • Additional Information: SEARHC only accepts traveler profile applications from travelers that live at least 50+ miles away from the facility address they are working at. Rate is all inclusive and SEARHC will not be providing housing or flights. Position urgency is normal. Candidate submissions are currently at zero.
  • Responsibilities: Review patient medical histories, labs, and medication orders; ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws; communicate effectively with staff and patients; perform accurate drug dosage calculations; exercise professional judgment; provide medication counseling; participate in quality improvement activities; direct pharmacy support personnel; and contribute to clinical and operational tasks within the pharmacy department.
